Wolverhampton Asbestos removal

As most of our avid readership will know, Safeline Environmental is a truly national company and recently we were asked to complete a major wolverhampton asbestos removal project on an old factory that is being converted into apartments. As major projects go this one was a fairly simple affair, as the factory had reached it's useful retirement as a production facility, and therefore most of the equipment had previously been stripped out of the shell of the build, coupled with the added advantage for us that we didn't need to factor in working around current production operations. The Wolverhampton asbestos removal job started out as a simple pre planning survey for the client and the architect and COW responsible for the job. Once on site, we completed an in depth survey, having first sought to understand the client's brief to the architect to understand what the building was going to be re imagined as and as such which techniques we, or at stage, the asbestos removal contractor that would be chosen should employ to deliver the project on budget and to the required standard for the public. The former factory required several areas for focus for the conversion project, the boiler room and the plant for the heating and area's that had housed or hung them needed to be made safe. This involved removal of the ACM's and board, the main reason being that the space was to divide up for apartments. It is simply not practical to cover the asbestos products for multiple dwellings. As the building was dilapidated after a long period of neglect anyway it just made sense to strip it all out.
