About Us - The Safeline Story
Safeline was established by two analysts who initially intended to set up an asbestos consultancy and laboratory. However, they were constantly confronted with the same issues on site when dealing with traditional asbestos removal companies. Namely deficiencies in:
- Standard of workmanship/attention to detail
- Worker attitude/communication skills
- Staff presentation/lack of uniform
- Site documentation/record keeping
- Standard of removal equipment/maintenance
From this, Safeline was born with a view to running an asbestos removal company to analytical laboratory standards. By concentrating on these deficiencies, although individually not seen as significant, combined add up to a significant differentiator in the market.
We’re a national company; 50% of our business is insurance-based, working directly for insurers, drying companies, claims management companies and also within contractor networks, the other 50% is public sector or commercial, we work with hospitals, schools, and many large companies who are proactively managing their asbestos.
Over the years we have found that the insurance sector is predominately busy during the winter months and the public sector is busy during the summer months. This split in the sectors we work in enables Safeline to avoid the traditional industry workflow peaks and troughs. Therefore enabling us to maintain a direct workforce without the need to utilise sub-contractor labour.
